STEAM: Innovation in Motion Tour
- The STEAM: Innovation in Motion Tour is an all-inclusive travel and immersive experience. The standard duration of this program is fifteen days, twelve nights. The package is all inclusive, with:
- Return international airfares
- Bus and train transfers
- Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner each day
- An action-packed 15 day itinerary
- Four Day Immersion in Berlin. Across four full days in Berlin students students complete with hands-on workshops at Humboldt University, where students engage in experiments focused on magnetism, superconductivity, solar energy, and materials research. These sessions connect scientific theory to practical experimentation, allowing students to see how emerging technologies are reshaping sustainable energy and advanced manufacturing. Students also visit the Science Centre Spectrum and the German Museum of Technology, where interactive exhibits explore the principles of motion, aerodynamics, and mechanical design. These experiences highlight how inquiry and experimentation underpin engineering progress, from early inventions to future technologies. A highlight of the tour, students visit Germany’s national space agency (DLR) to experience how Europe explores beyond our planet. Through guided workshops, they may analyse Martian soil samples, model how scientists reduce the noise of jet engines, or simulate missions exploring extra-terrestrial environments. These experiences immerse students in physics, chemistry, and computational modelling, linking classroom learning directly to current space research and aeronautical engineering.
Dive into Germany's industrial and scientific heritage in Munich. At the BMW Museum and the Deutsches Museum, students trace the evolution of engineering, robotics, and automation — exploring how modern technology builds on centuries of invention. Exhibits and demonstrations link directly to mechanical systems, robotics programming, and data analysis, showing how creativity drives continuous innovation.
Explore precision engineering and design excellence in Stuttgart. Students discover the artistry of German engineering through guided visits to the Porsche and Mercedes-Benz Museums. They learn how precision design, materials science, and sustainability combine to create high-performance vehicles. The exhibits demonstrate how physics, art, and mathematics converge in real-world applications, from aerodynamic optimisation to energy efficiency.
Geneva and Paris where discovery never stops. A visit to CERN, where students witness how international collaboration pushes the boundaries of human understanding. Guided tours of the particle accelerator and research facilities reveal the intersection of physics, mathematics, and computational science. Students also visit the Geneva Observatory, linking early astronomical exploration to modern physics. These experiences encourage curiosity, precision, and an appreciation for how global science connects across disciplines. In Paris, students explore the Cité des Sciences et de l’Industrie, one of Europe’s most advanced science centres. Through interactive exhibits in astronomy, environmental science, and design innovation, students engage with global challenges such as energy, climate, and sustainability. The museum’s immersive simulations connect art and science, highlighting how design thinking shapes technological progress.
Downtime & General Exploration. Built in to every package is a block of "downtime". Use your sightseeing pass to visit sites including the Berlin Wall, Brandenburg Gate, Marienplatz, Viktualienmarkt, Eiffel Tower and Montmartre, or explore the many different activities and experiences that are within reach from your central location.
Optional Add On Experiences
- This tour can be extended with a host of optional add on experiences. Optional experiences include, but are not limited to:
- Combine with activities and experiences from the STEAM: Formula 1 Experience Tour in the United Kingdom
- Additional sightseeing and city visits across Europe
- With so many inclusions to this tour, the simplest way to describe this experience is by what is not included:
- The cost of a passport
- The cost of an ETIAS
- Travel insurance
- Any discretionary spending money
