Itinerary
Day 1: Saturday September 21: Departure• Depart Melbourne Airport for Huntsville, Alabama• Check into Space Camp
Day 2 - 6: Sunday September 22 – Thursday September 26: Space Camp • Participate in a mission simulation that includes launching and landing a Space Shuttle and simulating a spacewalk on the International Space Station• Participate in a mission simulation that includes launching, landing and walking on Mars• Experience the effect of zero gravity in the multiaxial trainer• Experience one-sixth gravity of the Moon, by performing a Moon walk• Work through challenges of Mission Control during live space missions• Build model rockets and complete analysis of their launch and flight trajectories• Build a heat shield use to protect Space Shuttles during re-entry • Complete leadership development and team work activities• Partake in a guided tour of the operational side of the Marshall Space Centre and Davidson Centre.• Participate in a simulated shuttle launch - with simulated G-force• View retired NASA rockets and the Pathfinder shuttle• Participate in various IMAX and Space Camp-staff led presentations
Day 7: Friday September 27: Travel to Orlando• Space Camp Graduation • Depart Space Camp for Orlando, Florida• Transfer to Orlando Hotel
Day 8: Saturday September 28: Kennedy Space Centre • Astronaut Training Experience • Chat with an Astronaut• KSC Bus Tour • Space Shuttle Atlantis Exhibit• Gateway Exhibition• Shuttle Launch Experience Simulator• IMAX Theatre of real space missions• Students explore and tour NASA areas, including Space Shuttles. Day 9 - 10: Sunday September 29 to Monday September 30: Universal Studios & Islands of Adventure• STEAM Educational Programs• Chance to also explore/have fun on rides Day 11: Tuesday October 1: iFly & Departure• Physics of Freefall Workshop• 2 Minute Indoor Skydive • Depart Orlando for Melbourne

Day 13: Thursday October 3: Arrival• Arrive at Melbourne Airport

Parents/carers are asked to complete the Tour Registration Form for their child as part of the preparations for the Loreto College 2024 STEAM: Missions & Frontiers Tour.

Payment Timeline
The total cost of the tour is $10,275 and is broken down into the following payment timeline. All payments are to be made directly to Loreto College. November 1 2023 – $775 deposit (non-refundable)
February 1 2024 – $2,500 partial payment
April 1 2024 – $2,500 partial payment
June 1 2024 – $2,500 partial payment
August 1 2024 – $2,000 partial payment
February 1 2024 – $2,500 partial payment
April 1 2024 – $2,500 partial payment
June 1 2024 – $2,500 partial payment
August 1 2024 – $2,000 partial payment
