Critical & Creative Thinking
The Critical & Creative Thinking whole or part-day workshops explore practical ways of incorporating the Victorian Curriculum Capability into classroom pedagogy and assessment. The workshop will explore why Critical & Creative Thinking is vital, and how to best navigate the scope and sequence to improve students Critical & Creative Thinking skills. Effective methods of embedding both formative and summative assessment of Critical & Creative Thinking into pedagogy are explored.
Data Analysis
The Immersive Education data analysis workshops are tailored to meet your school's specific needs. Topics covered include but are not limited to: class by class, year level and whole school AGAT, PAT-M, PAT-R and NAPLAN data analysis techniques, how to effectively utilise data in the classroom and implementing resources to focus upon individual student needs.
Flipped Classroom
This workshop will focus on the theoretical and practical benefits to a flipped learning approach in the classroom. The workshop will present model for teaching and learning with flipped content, as well as provide time for staff to create their own flipped content. It will provide suggestions for how you may be able to incorporate this approach within specific units of your program, alongside how to use this approach to gain meaningful formative assessment information for each of your classes.
Leadership Development
The Immersive Education leadership development workshops can be delivered in whole or part-day sessions. Avaliable workshop topics include: types of leadership, charactersitics of effective leadership, overcoming challenges, developing effective teams, creating effective presentations and having difficult conversations.
